How Women Entrepreneurs Can Find Inspiration: Support Tips
Finding inspiration, especially as a woman entrepreneur can be hard.
October 22, 2025 @ 2:22 AM marks the day and time my beautiful Mother got her wings and transitioned from a life in the flesh, here on Earth. It was a painful time and the day I made a promise to myself, to my Mother and to my daughter (and later, a few other Queens). I was determined to launch a podcast and develop a viable platform where women help themselves and each other spiritually, emotionally, and otherwise. I was also inspired to build yet another viable business venture, while I help my daughter, my Granddaughter and myself, in the process. Initially, I knew LITERALLY NOTHING about podcasting. I only knew I wanted to use my voice and my gifts and talents, in service of encouraging love and healing and just generally positive vibes, especially for women!
October 22, 2026 is a full circle moment. An idea that was inspired and birthed from me trying desperately to get a handle on my grief, has allowed me, through stepping out on faith, to meet and encourage many women during these past 365 days of growing our podcast listener base.
As of this writing we have downloads and listeners in Africa, Canada, Mexico, Germany, across the US, several Caribbean locations, the UK and several other places I have yet to visit or know how to properly pronounce... but my voice (and the voices of the Queens I have communed with) has already beat me there.
It's absolutely mind-boggling and spiritually exciting knowing that my obedience to a little voice in my head has begun to open doors and windows I hadn't imagined!
I have had women from all over, reach out wanting to freely share stories of triumph and success!
What started as a mere vision is quickly blooming and growing into what I pray to be a tremendously prosperous platform and venture, not just for my daughter and me, but for each and every new women that chooses to join our community! I am humbled and reminded that often the inspiration desperately needed already and always resides within SELF. We merely have to remember and tap into that truth and source.
In the midst of me nursing my Mother, and caring for her, and fighting with her in more ways than one (she had dementia and Alzheimer's) and, navigating all the peripheral personal SUPER BS that I was dealing with, and while painfully witnessing her slip away from me mentally and physically, day by day, hour by hour, down to her very last 22 seconds alive...
... I had lots of time to really think long and hard about the spirit of the woman MY beautiful Mother (is) in sum total of all the roles, and titles and responsibilities, successes and failures she handled so eloquently during her nearly 83 years of life. Other than my Grandmother, I've yet to meet another woman that has inspired me to the depths as those two Queens did as strong, resourceful women (and they continue doing so, in the spirit now that they are out of reach of my arms). I cannot help but remember how genuinely and lovingly I was encouraged by their manners, morals and exquisite ways of handling matters and facts of life. They were genuinely inspiring, (and not just to me).
My Mother is the epitome of my correlation of what the female archetype, "QUEEN"embodies.
Her character and moral fortitude, her leaps and bounds, above average common sense, impeccable business savvy, and her general loving, caring, kind and giving nature, were always inspirational and uplifting to me in ways I thanked her for often and in many ways, I never fully expressed to her, out loud.
She and my Father (RIP May 16, 2025) were inspiring people, individually and as a couple. They were both power-house entrepreneurs, starting from humble beginnings, amassing and generating, cultivating and investing, literally, millions of dollars earned from the various business ventures they were inspired to own. They were helpful and generous, perhaps to a fault, but continually reaped the benefits of hard work and enjoyed various fruits from their labors, nonetheless.
I was blessed to be business partners with them on several of their successful ventures (financially, in sweat equity and always by loving invitation). Each one of those ideas made manifest, brought with it new found knowledge, creative ways of thinking, and a profound realization about the innate spiritual connection and difference between "being the boss/boss-lady and being UN-bossed, or being a "worker-bee, being bossed", literally to death.
The saying goes, "Give a woman a fish, feed her for a day; teach that woman how to fish, feed her for a lifetime."
In my parent's perpetual pursuit of their dreams (personal and professional), and because I happened to be along for the ride by default of relationship, there were many hard-knock times I witnessed and helped them navigate and pivot, as their eldest child and only daughter, and the child that chose to always be "all up in their business". I am fortunate that they welcomed my inclusion, respected my opinions and encouraged my input.
Each experience required their/our creativity and tenacity, an understanding of what teamwork truly means, and an unfaltering commitment to accomplishing goals and following plans, even if needing adjustments or reassessment along the way. They kept each other (and many others) inspired simply by the drive and energy they obviously understood was bare minimal requirement to being "successful" at entrepreneurship (and life in general). They were committed to the hustle!
Now that my parents are no longer here to inspire me in the flesh, and nor can I hear their voices as they guide and mentor me, as they always did (both personally and professionally), I grapple hard, daily, with the difficulty of finding things to be genuinely inspired by.
The "wild" ideas and absolutely brilliant thoughts that I was once able to bounce off two people I hold the UTMOST REVERENCE, TRUST, AND RESPECT for, can now often be found bouncing off the hollows of my absolutely broken heart, and roaming my mind troubled by grief. I guess what I miss the most is knowing that no matter what ideas I had, (even the ones that were more like wild hairs in my behind), I always had a solid, experienced, knowledgeable, proven "successful", sounding board with them. No judgment or need for justification of my brainstorms and inspired thoughts.
It gets really hard to remain or even get inspired these days... but then, I am reminded that the opportunity for inspiration is everywhere.
As my daughter and I continue on our journey of growing a community of healed and healing women and girls committed to supporting one another spiritually and professionally, I become more and more inspired by the stories of women who have taken seemingly uninspiring events and experiences in life and have learned to transmute/flip them into "successes" in their lives and the lives of others.
Starting and growing a business is a thrilling journey, but it can also be a rollercoaster of emotions. Sometimes, the spark of inspiration dims, and the path forward looks foggy and appears bleak.
But guess what?
Inspiration is all around YOU QUEEN, waiting to be discovered by YOU QUEEN, ignited by YOU QUEEN, and harnessed, by YOU QUEEN!
As women entrepreneurs, we have a unique power of transforming multitudes of challenges into opportunities and manifesting our dreams into realities!
My own journey and pursuit of entrepreneurial dreams started many, many years ago... barely three years out of college. Tired of being mishandled and underpaid at that corporate job I was so proud to snag, I walked away. No real plan. No immediate funding. Not a singular idea what I was going to do... other than WORK FOR MYSELF! Fast forward, I opened a popular yogurt, wings and sub shop in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia... with more customers and catering clients than I could shake a knife. Proper planning allowed me to be profitable, from day one. I was literally making MORE MONEY in ONE DAY than I had made in a month on my "good job", (and, my former boss-lady patronized my establishment often); I was calling all my shots! Things were good... until they weren't...
So is the life, of an entrepreneur!
Yes, I have been blessed to hire/employ (and saddened to fire) quite a few people, family included, in my entrepreneurial journeys and ventures. Times have not always been "easy", yet I have never, nor will I ever look back. I'm serial... about being the boss of me!
Although I have worked several "corporate" jobs and a few manual ones as well, the best experiences I have ever had (having to work and earn a living), were/are those made while building a business idea from the ground up, focusing in on the vision, honing thoughts; being up for fights, and shedding sweat, blood, and tears to nurture it, and watch it grow and flourish... and of course, MAKING THAT MONEY, UTILIZING THAT MONEY WISELY, INVESTING THAT MONEY STRATEGICALLY... AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, NOT ALLOWING THAT MONEY, TO MAKE ME!
Knowing when to hold, and when to fold.
I've learned that the key to financial, professional and personal success depends almost completely on your frame of mind, how well you can pivot, and simply how YOU define "success" for YOUR life.
Over the years of my life, I've opened, owned and operated several business ventures. Each one was wildly "successful", in its own right. As well, the experiences and knowledge amassed with each venture has served as wisdom and information for my journey forward.
Entrepreneurs are unique people. Especially female entrepreneurs!
Between handling all the things most women learn to juggle, like managing EVERYBODY'S PROJECTS, budgeting and bills, ordering food and supplies/keeping household "order", janitorial and maintenance responsibilities, the occasional medic related duties, and, all the other things women multi-task and project manage (and that's just in the home), it's a wonder that women entrepreneurs accomplish the amazing things we hear about women in business doing, all day, every day!
I venture to think that the inspiration that fuels any desire is the source which keeps you in movement and motion (iNERTIA) although perhaps not always a "forward" trajectory. But constantly leading you towards your dreams and desires, whether they are entrepreneurial or not. This is where it can get tricky because inspiration can be lost on so many things.
I challenge you... look for inspiration in everything, even those things that might not inspire, you at all.
In this blog post I hope to provide you with some tips and thoughts which spark your inspiration!

Embracing Women Entrepreneurs Support Tips: Building Your Tribe
One of the most powerful sources of inspiration is connection. Surrounding yourself with a supportive community of like-minded women entrepreneurs can be a game-changer. When you share your journey with other women who understand the highs and lows, you gain fresh perspectives, encouragement, and motivation.
Join local or online women’s business groups: These spaces are goldmines for networking, mentorship, and collaboration.
Attend workshops and conferences: Immersing yourself in environments buzzing with ambition and creativity can spark new ideas.
Find a mentor or accountability partner: Someone who has walked the path before you can offer invaluable guidance and cheer you on.
Remember, inspiration often comes from the stories and successes of others. Listening to podcasts like the iFIGHTmagazine & WOMB.S PODCAST can provide real-life insights and motivation from women who have faced similar challenges and have triumphed!

Cultivating a Growth Mindset: The Key to Endless Inspiration
Inspiration thrives in a mindset that embraces growth and learning. When you view setbacks as stepping stones rather than roadblocks, you open yourself up to endless possibilities.
Celebrate small wins: Every achievement, no matter how minor, is fuel for your motivation.
Learn continuously: Read books, take courses, and stay curious about your industry and beyond.
Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself during tough times. Inspiration often strikes when you give yourself space to breathe and reflect.
Try journaling your thoughts and ideas daily. This simple habit can help you track your progress, clarify your vision, and uncover hidden sources of inspiration.

Harnessing Creativity Through Everyday Experiences
Inspiration doesn’t always come from business books or seminars. Sometimes, it’s hiding in the everyday moments that surround you. The key is to stay open and curious.
Explore new environments: Take a walk in nature, visit a museum, or try a new café. New sights and sounds can spark fresh ideas.
Engage in creative hobbies: Painting, cooking, or even gardening can stimulate your brain in unexpected ways.
Practice mindfulness and meditation: Quieting the mind can help you tap into your inner creativity and intuition.
By weaving creativity into your daily routine, you’ll find that inspiration becomes a natural part of your entrepreneurial life.
Turning Challenges into Catalysts for Inspiration
Every entrepreneur faces obstacles. But here’s the secret - challenges can be your greatest source of inspiration if you let them.
Reframe problems as opportunities: Ask yourself, “What can I learn from this?” or “How can this make my business stronger?”
Seek feedback and advice: Sometimes, a fresh perspective can turn a problem into a breakthrough.
Stay resilient and persistent: Remember, every successful entrepreneur has faced setbacks. Your determination is your superpower.
When you embrace challenges with courage and creativity, you transform them into stepping stones toward your dreams.
Passion is the heartbeat of entrepreneurship. When your business aligns with your values and purpose, inspiration flows naturally.
Define your why: Why did you start your business? What impact do you want to make?
Visualize your success: Create vision boards or write down your goals to keep your dreams vivid and alive.
Celebrate your impact: Recognize how your work benefits your community, customers, or causes you care about.
Keeping your purpose front and center will keep your inspiration burning bright, even on the toughest days.
Inspiration is not a fleeting visitor but a constant companion when you nurture it with connection, mindset, creativity, resilience, and purpose. Remember, you are part of a vibrant community of women entrepreneurs who are rewriting the rules and shaping the future.
Keep seeking, keep dreaming, and keep doing. Your journey is your masterpiece!
